Okay, I'm considerably less cranky today. We are now into Day 4 of said Teacher's Institute. I will not bore you with any more tales of weary institute woe. Instead, I will tell you about my latest celebrity-weird dream: Dreamt I was in Paris, and unfortunately, I was travelling with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes (why have they not been donned TomKat yet?). They were involved in a high speed paparazzi chase and when they returned to the hotel Tom was ready to propose to Katie, except that she surprised him by revealing that she was already married--to Michael Caine. The whole TK thing is so bizarre to me that I keep reading the stories hoping to find a clue to what makes Katie Holmes interesting and "the most magnificent woman in the whole world." I had no idea that "Dawson's Creek" could spawn anything "magnificent." I will say that her hair looks terrific--perhaps a new Scientology shampoo treatment? Also, Liz and I briefly discussed that if we were to be pursued by Tom Cruise in such a way, we would get restraining orders. Seriously, I have not found him attractive or interesting since I was 11 and "Top Gun" was the hottest thing ever. Now that that's out of the way--Go Pistons! I know I have no right to really root for any sports team during the Finals since I never watch any sporting event unless it is the Finals, but Go Pistons! Apparently, I have nothing to talk about except sports and celebrities. Today, I am USA Today.
